Passed away on April 28, 2005 at the age of 22.
Born in Oklahoma on September 24, 1982.
Brett's life was pretty typical for today's standards, his mother and I divorced when he was 2, reconciled for a couple of years and divorced again.
Brett went from house to house, state to state for several years.
In 1996, Brett finally understood the best place for him was with me and Jennifer.
Jennifer had been in Bretts life since he was 7 and never once reffered to her as his stepmom.
She cared and meant for him just as much as his real mother.
Brett graduated from Bonham High School, in Bonham, Tx. in 2000. Naturally as a now adult he would come and go as he pretty much wanted. My mistake? Would always welcome him with open arms.
He moved to Plano, Tx. in 2004. Got his own apartment. He would come get the kids sometimes so they could see his place.
